So all this walking and shopping we worked up an appetite for ramen which came as a suggestion from my friend who was like we have to go. So all four of us decided to walk down and try this ramen she spoke of, but before we did (as she told us the line gets intense) we stopped at Hill Country Chicken for some tenders to hold us over. After our snack off and away we walked to Ippudo Ramen House on 4th and 10th down by Union Square. While walking I was making notes of where I wanted to stop on another adventure. I am glad when we got there as there was already a line and they hadn't even opened! I guess they don't take reservations and it is first come first serve. We got inside and were seated. I naturally needing to eat more than my companions ordered the vegetable buns, wowzers! I would go back just for these. It was a deep fried mushroom coated in a spicy sauce with a mayo and lettuce in a bread like substance (looked like a taco). It was delish it was crispy and spicy all in one bite. So my friend suggested the modern noodles which is a pork broth with noodles, I ordered the chicken one which was a special. The premise is that you order a "basic" version and can dress it up with different toppings. i also ordered the green tea brûlée, ugh not a good idea and I desired something more. The food was good and the broth was flavorful, but I personally didn't find it filling and was still hungry. Surprise surprise!
