So today I went to Besos in Brooklyn over on Lewis ave and Macon Ave for brunch with Los amigos. Not much going on in the neighborhood but don't let that fool you. The decor was warm and inviting with shades of brown and warm reds. The brunch menu is limited ( as are most places) but don't ask for a deviation from what's listed. The menu leans more towards lunch than breakfast items. I ordered the pancakes and Huevos rancheros, and another friend got the carne asada with a side of rice. Overall the food was tasty, the side of rice my friend ordered a la carte tasted bland she said. The egg tasted like eggs, the tomitillo sauce was fresh and the coffee tasted like real coffee. The waitress was friendly but sadly the only one so there was a bit of a wait for refills and follow up. Overall I'd say 2.5 forks out of 5 just for the service.
