End of boozy brunches in NYC?

Say it isnt so!!!  So a co worker told me that apparently NYC has a law on the books that prevents establishments from serving unlimited alcohol. In disbelief I Googled this and sadly its true.  There is a liquor law that prevents patrons from receiving unlimited drinks for either a fixed price.  While I'm sure some establishments may turn a blind eye you can expect that there will no longer be brunches with endless drink offers going forward.

OOTD 2/21/14

Today I am rocking my new Alloy London Skinny jeans (love the stretch, not the falling down) and I paired it with a chambray top and of course C+I jewelry.   However it has been suggested that I buy a belt to keep my pants from falling down.....

So I was led to these via a coworker who suggested I try them after I saw her in them.  Who else has a hard time finding jeans that fit?  Enough give but not baggy after 20 minutes?  Then check out the London Super Skinny from Alloy (style 176066).  Plus at about $30 its a good deal.  The top is actually from the mens dept in Old Navy.  I'm a busty gal so most manufactures for women's clothing fail to realize that the bust area needs a bit more fabric for us larger girls.  I got the skinny cut and for about $18 I'm pretty happy.   So what do you think of my Friday work outfit?

Vday at Barraca

So for Vday I took the man out to tapas in the village over at Barrca, thanks in part to Urban Daddy and my perk!  What sold me about this place was the 7 different types of sangria that is offered.  Of course we took the challenge, as it was UNLIMITED for 2 hours.  The inside is cattle farm rustic, old jars, exposed wood, to maso jar glasses.  The sangria is kept in large mason jars at the bar and labeled.  So for food I ordered the huevos con patatas bravas.  The patatas bravas were everything!  Crispy red potatoes seasoned and served with a creamy aoli sauce. Thick cut bacon graced the side of my plate, easily washed down with the sangria.  My BF ordered the omelet with mushrooms and manchego cheese mmmmm delish!  We also had the pan con tomate to help absorb the copious amount of liquor we would consume.  From what I can remember the de la mancha and tradtional rojia were my faves.  Our waiter was super nice and knew what order we had ordered our sangria's in.  Overall 4 out of 5 forks as I would def eat here again.

Check out the menus here!

Go to Urban Daddy to get the inside scoop on the hottest stuff (I think I'm doing the burlesque next!)

Angry Woman NYFW

So my new (or not so new if you know me) is Angry Woman. I am trying to get this to take off so I can get a spot at next years NYFW. I think I’m going to start hashtagging this (although I have discovered that there are already 1000 posts to this hashtag). I have to thank my co-worker for all of this.

Needing Feedback!!!

Ok guys, here is your chance to help shape my blog.  I need you, the readers, valuable feedback on how to get to the next level.  Here are some pointers that I've gotten so far

•  Full width photos, at a higher res within your posts. This has been known to capture more attention and reduce the bounce-rate
•  For something like "Want to shop the styles click here," make the "here" clickable and link that with your bitly link instead of putting it afterwards since it looks cleaner
•  Look into photoshop to pop colors in your photos a bit more, to make it (again) more engaging and fun in a super easy way
•  Look into designing a logo & branding
•  Purchase a domain name.

Yes? No? Have a better idea?  Comment and let me know!!

High and Mighty OOTD 2/4/14

So I recently ordered my new morning tide collection from my e-boutique (click here to check it out!) and just had to rock it (you know how that be).  I also ordered some pants from Alloy Apparel.  I like the pants because they are high waisted and skinny.  After ordering I was informed that they ran a bit on the larger side, and after about a day of wear I'm getting the saggy booty/crotch look.  its all good though, because I'm going to order the size 13 and see how those work out.  I like the wash and cut, but the whiskering (aka the lines that highlight my crotch) is a bit much.  On the plus side they do come in other colors, so no fear.  OH! and the material is sturdy not that light stuff that will pill in your crotch after a wear.....

Monday Blues OOTD 2/3/14

So while I was in Target yesterday shopping for other things, I came across this cute top in the Mossimo section for about $20.  I love that it is has asymmetrical layers with the burst of blue.  Plus its loose and hides my "I'm so not feeling fly "today.  On occasion i think Target does hit the mark when it comes to fashion. What are your thoughts?
