So recently I just moved and am in the process of decorating and if you know me, you know my style is all over. From baroque, modern, classic, cape cod to industrial. But decorating a home is much like getting dressed, in that our personal style is reflected. So I have been scouring the web in search of things that reflect my style and found great sites such as joss and main, wayfair, anthroplogie and Modani. Modani is chock full of modern, clean lines with a touch of baroque such as their collection of sofas.. After scrolling the site I came across some great pieces for a living room that I feel captures my personal style. Clean, minimal and eclectic with pops of color. That to me is what drives an outfit or room decor, that pop of color or texture that drives and ties the whole thing together. Kinda makes you go hmmmmmm
I started with the Bergamo leather sofa in gray and white. If you don't know gray is pseudo-neutral and a great base color. I then paired it with the modern glass table with chrome trim, because it gives that modern, clean aesthetic that I like. Keeping with the clean leather look I found the Barcelona chair that ties into the sofa and the table. But to add some dimension and je ne sais quoi I like to add some red. Red will give that POP and the gray is a great basic to be against. I also love skulls and found a great aluminum print featuring it and using red. Now to really give that edge, I found the lola red chair to act as the focal piece of my room. And according to Modani it takes any room from drab to FABAHULOUS!
Check out how I pulled them all together in Polyvore and let me know your thoughts.

Rings With Style
So recently I discovered an online auction site called invaluable.com and came across their fantastic selection of rings. After scrolling for a bit through simple bands to antique art deco statement rings I came across a stunner. You can filter to stone, metal, and style to better determine what you might be looking for. Naturally having expensive taste (but not the $$ to support it), and being a September baby I’m drawn to sapphires and found this awesome geometric one with a diamond as an accent piece. I love the simplicity of the style as well as the fact that the sapphire is a triangle cut. Which is not your average setting.
Check them out here! http://www.invaluable.com/
I envision this ring in a classic edgy style like Olivia Palmero, with belted hi-waisted flannel pants, crisp white button down and a classic jacket. Now it can go either way classy or casual, so I gave you tow options on shoes. And being that I live in NYC you know it goes both ways. Maybe you’re out for an interview or on a girl’s night out. The ring transitions beautifully with either and becomes the focal point of the outfit with the pop of color from the sapphire. The grays are a pseudo neutral and let the ring do all your talking. I also loved the shape as I have a similar setting and love that it’s a conversation starter.
So the next time you’re struggling with where to get that “guuurl, where did you get that ring?” head over to invaluable.com and scoop up a one of a kind item.

Me Unfiltered
-Beauty is in the eye of the beholder-
Sometimes as a blogger I feel the need to strive to be this ideal that we feel is acceptable, buffed, photoshopped and perfect. But if your anything like me and live in the real world you are not those things. You are imperfect, flawed, lumpy, and use filters to make your images look better. Well sometimes as a blogger, and as a female I feel that I need to let people see what I really look like. No filter, or makeup done (gasp!) and that I am just a regular female in a world bombarded by images of what we perceive as perfection. Honestly, we must come to terms with our bodies and that they are great they way they are. I suffer from insecurties like everyone else (just ask my BF about the verbal diarrhea i had the other night) yet he thinks I am the most gorgeous person he knows. You know why? My intellect and attitude about life. Ask any man and most likely he will tell you that he is attracted to confidence and attitude. It took me about 20 years before I could accept myself and know I will never be what society shows as an ideal female, i'm not skinny, I think my hair sucks most days, my mascara runs, I wear glasses, and I wear sneakers everywhere. But you know what, I'm healthy and happy and regardless the sun will rise and set everyday.
So I wanted to share some untouched photos of myself and show you that its ok to be you. Make sure to check me on the 'gram at bkblueagave and tell me your story

Reinventing whats old OOTD 6/23/14
Well its Monday and that means the start of another week (the joy). I recently bought this body con dress from Alloy Apparel and I'm mostly loving it, the one thing that I dislike is the scoop neck. Its so wide it keeps slipping off my bra straps. And unlike most of todays chicks I prefer to keep my bra straps hidden. Other than that I love the color and that it falls to below my knees.

Giveaway Time!
Hey blogosphere! I just wanted to let you know about a little giveaway that I am doing with a fellow posher Jessica Flores. Maybe you know her a bit better as domesticated me, a latina domestic pin up goddess. Jessica created DomesticatedMe, a lifestyle website for the domestic diva in all of us. Her site covers everything from being a new mom, to just eating right. After the last little posh meetup in NYC I reached out to her about featuring some of the C+I gems (and she was open to the idea) and so now she is doing a giveaway just in time for Mothers Day. So head on over to any of her sites and enter to win.
So check her out and enter (repeatedly if necessary) and if you want to see more of the chloe+isabel jewelry check it out here. And ummmm a heads up…..there is a new collection launching tonight at 10 PM.
Check out her blog here! http://www.domesticatedme.com/

Vday at Barraca
So for Vday I took the man out to tapas in the village over at Barrca, thanks in part to Urban Daddy and my perk! What sold me about this place was the 7 different types of sangria that is offered. Of course we took the challenge, as it was UNLIMITED for 2 hours. The inside is cattle farm rustic, old jars, exposed wood, to maso jar glasses. The sangria is kept in large mason jars at the bar and labeled. So for food I ordered the huevos con patatas bravas. The patatas bravas were everything! Crispy red potatoes seasoned and served with a creamy aoli sauce. Thick cut bacon graced the side of my plate, easily washed down with the sangria. My BF ordered the omelet with mushrooms and manchego cheese mmmmm delish! We also had the pan con tomate to help absorb the copious amount of liquor we would consume. From what I can remember the de la mancha and tradtional rojia were my faves. Our waiter was super nice and knew what order we had ordered our sangria's in. Overall 4 out of 5 forks as I would def eat here again.
Check out the menus here!
Go to Urban Daddy to get the inside scoop on the hottest stuff (I think I'm doing the burlesque next!)

Angry Woman NYFW
So my new (or not so new if you know me) is Angry Woman. I am trying to get this to take off so I can get a spot at next years NYFW. I think I’m going to start hashtagging this (although I have discovered that there are already 1000 posts to this hashtag). I have to thank my co-worker for all of this.

Less Bah more Humbug (holiday shopping guide 2013)
Looking for strange and unique gifts for the holidays? Then check out some of the sites I’ve found that just might make your holidays a bit more bearable and a little less humbug. Have an addition? let me know, I’m all about quirky gifts.
1. Headliner Shirts – from wacky to weird this site covers the best of them. Doesn’t everyone want a t-shirt with Henry VIII saying “its all in the execution” plus since their made in CA, you know everything is environmentally friendly.http://www.headlineshirts.net/
2. belovedshirts.com – another great site to find ridiculous prints. Who on your list wouldn’t love a sweatshirt with a photo of a cheeseburger on it.
3. The drom store – for all things that are quirky Asian (need I say more?)
4. uncommongoods.com – I think the name kinda sums it up right? you can find almost anything and everything random on this site.
5. Etsy.com – like really…….you know there are strange things lurking there
6. stupid.com – well like the site name implies, these are the stupidest and funniest gag gifts to get anyone who can take a joke this holiday. I mean farting butt ornaments????
of course coal is always the good old fashion standby for a Christmas prank.

Cold crystals and pearls OOTD 11/12/13
baby its cold outside.....and what better
way to stay warm than a northface? Remember
the other week when I asked about form or function? Clearly I'm all about function, being a warm
weather baby anything under 75 is
cold. So usually I'm the person that you
see in a down jacket in September lol but who says I cant be stylish under
right? What about you? Stay warm or look good? Are there any viable options that are cute
and warm, let me know!
