So on Monday I had a day job over in the financial district and came across this gem. I was on the hunt for great Vietnamese food, specifically bun. Its noodles served with grilled chicken, cucumbers, lettuce and peanuts and is the best thing ever. Small place (surprise!) but tasty and fresh. Overall 3 out of 5 forks so when in the area walk over and check it out.

Luu Vietnamese
So last night after work I was on the hunt for dumplings, and after using my awesome Ness app found a place. Well long and short the place wasn't open but I passed this small spot along the way. It's located on E 26th and Lexington ave. walking in I was on a sensory trip back to Taiwan, it had that same smell. I ordered the chicken bun and vegetable spring rolls. Overall it was good and the freshness of the food was great. However my only issue was the chicken which wasn't really to my liking, but hey that's part of the fun. Portion sizes were decent and I was full half way through. It's a small space with limited seating but seems to be a fave spot with the students at Baruch. Overall 3 put of 5 forks.

Chinese food oh my!
After work I decided that I wanted Chinese so I took myself down to my favorite spot on 8th btwn 30th and 29th. It's called urban kitchen and has the best chicken and broccoli ever! Even though i just had it my mouth waters thinking about it (mmmmmm). They also have Vietnamese spring rolls that are suburb, light but filling. The menu is either meat or vegetarian. It's a limited offering but so far everything I've ever had is scrumptious. They also offer a dinner deal for $9.95 that includes soup and a entree. A great deal for the cash strapped working masses.
