Robin Hoods Stylish Headscarves
So today while strolling through the web I came across this company that makes headscarves for women who are going through cancer or have serious hair loss. I was moved as I personally know of women who are battling cancer and might need these. The premise of the company is this "Tracey founded Robin Hoods upon her belief that no
woman should be deprived of her self-confidence, dignity, and natural
beauty as a result of hair hardship. Pairing the highest quality
materials and thoughtful design, she created a product that appeals to
women of all ages and style sensibilities, and makes the wearer look-
and subsequently feel- better."
WOW! What a great idea and cause. As any female will tell you our hair is a major factor in our identity and self confidence when that is gone we struggle. So share this if you know someone fighting cancer or might be interested.

Souvlaki GR in the LES
So last night me and the boothang were in the LES looking for some Mediterranean food and what should we spy but souvlaki GR. So in we went and it was like being teleported into to the photos of Santorini Greece. It was a a small space as are almost all NYC restaurants. They even had a patio that was draped in bougainvillaea. The menu was short and straightforward which is how it should be.We started with the tzatziki and pita, and it was made with the Greek yogurt and cucumbers thick and creamy. I ordered the chicken souvlaki and Mr. ordered the veggie pita. The chicken I think could have been cooked a bit more as I didn't feel it was cooked all the way. It was juicy and very flavorful and came with a side of warmed pita bread.Mr boothang said the veggie pita was great (but it looked mostly like pita lol). Of course what meal isn't complete with out dessert!Of course the offer loukamadies with honey and nuts, I died. I noticed that they even offered frappes with Bailey's (which if you have ever hung with a Greek this is a staple of all table fare). The service was friendly but slow as there was only three servers and no one followed up with us to see how we were doing other than the busboy.Overall 3.5 put of 5 forks just because of the service but def a most go.

Getting Some Nish Nush
Well of course I had to eat again!!! Ever wish your salad was a bit more filling or wanted customer blended hummus? The Nish Nush on Reade st in NYC is for you. I stopped in there later in the day to grab a bite to eat and well worth it. I ordered the Halloumi salad and my BF ordered the regular salad. The salad was lightly dressed but flavorful and quite filling. There were walnuts and cucumbers in the mix. I even tried thier tabbouleh which was light an lemony mmmmm. There are large windows that open up to the street and limited seating. To close out we ordered coffee and the baklava which were both well done. Overall 3 out of 5 forks.

Brunch on Bedford Ave
So yesterday I met up with an old co-worker (who also has a baby clothing line CityFashionBaby) to help me put up flyers for my chloe+isabel business. So to start the day we went to Five Leaves on 18 Bedford ave. WOW! Small and only elbow room space but quite the place to eat, there was a line at 10:30 am on a Sunday! After a 15 minute wait we were seated inside at a ridiculously small table. We both ordered the ricotta pancakes, wowzers! She got homemade lemon-aid and I coffee. The coffee sucked but she was impressed with the lemon-aid. There are three large pancakes served with fresh fruit and a maple butter, I being a fatass also got a side of eggs. The pancakes were thick but fluffy with chunks of ricotta, the eggs light and fluffy as well. Service was fast and friendly and the food was fantastic. Overall 4 out of 5 forks!

Need an asssitant?
So recently I had the pleasure of attending a meetup even hosted by a high school classmate of mine who has launched her own business called PA for a Day. The premise of this is that if you need help for a day or more you pay a small fee (starting at $20 an hour) and you can have your own personal assistant. This person will pick up laundry, groceries, walk your dogs or do anything that you cant get to in the course of the day. Click on the link below for more info and tell her Jessica sent you!
